Black Male Leadership Association

The Black Male Leadership Association (BMLA) is a prestigously growing organization here in Lafayette at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. We were founded in 2009 and have been recognized for Ragin' Recognition awards for the past two years. Not only do we have much involvement with other organizations on campus but we have also participated with many off-campus service activities such as high school mentoring programs, iLeap testing and leadership development workshops, open forums on a variety of topics, summer enrichment programs, pageants etc. There's also resources of surrounding areas showing interest in expanding the organization.

Not only does our organization continue to grow in the community but we continue to instill leadership skills within our members.

Our mission as an organization is to continue to grow within our community and inspire our young african american males to be leaders. We want to expand the organization networks and resources for our foundation to continue to grow and to continue to inspire black males in other areas here today.
